Helix was born as a response to Trevor’s (our director) own experience of the electrical services industry. In his experience electrical services contractors and businesses fell into two camps… The first being the well established business who were quite often a little slow and cumbersome due to their aging processes and business models. And the second being the fast and loose contractors, who delivered great work but would sometimes miss the mark when it came to delivering work on time, every time. The potential downside to both of these solutions was lost time, lost budget or compromised quality.

For Trevor, this posed a problem – clients were forced to bet on which solution would work, with no guarantees that work would be delivered on time and to budget. It was a project manager’s worst nightmare, especially when it came to discovering hidden tags at invoicing time.

When Helix launched, Trevor knew that there were quality markers that must be hit. Helix needed to take the best bits of the well established businesses, and the speed of some of the “cowboys” but with the attention to detail and quality that were so important to delivering a job to the highest standard.

They believe that leading the team with their family owned and operated values, means both commercial and residential clients experience the best service possible.
